For the 2026 NBA In-Season Tournament, the Blazers introduced a striking new court design, switching to a vibrant red base instead of the traditional hardwood look. This updated court prominently displays plaid patterns—an homage to legendary coach Jack Ramsay, who led the Blazers to their 1977 championship. Plaid has become a recurring motif in the team’s aesthetic, paying tribute to Portland's unique culture. In addition to their in-arena updates, the Blazers are also involved in revitalizing outdoor basketball courts across the city. Through a partnership with Nike and Portland Parks & Recreation, they are working to refresh local community courts, making basketball accessible to more residents. The combination of the Moda Center’s innovative court designs and their community outreach projects reflects the Blazers' deep connection to Portland, both on and off the court.
