He is the first Japanese born player to receive the honor. The front of the coin features a color image of Ichiro in the center, while the reverse is minted with the National Baseball Hall of Fame Shield.  As a limited edition of only 2025, each coin is individually numbered on its edge including the coin weight and purity.
